Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Black in BioAnth Collective! Your first step in this process is to fill out the application below, which will allow us to maintain accurate member records and help us cater our programming to best suit the needs of our membership base.

The application takes less 10 minutes to complete, and contains the following components:

• Basic information- Biographic information that may be used to construct a member profile on the BiBA public facing website*

• Academic and Professional Status- Current academic/career status, including start of appointment/academic stage, institution, and future plans.

• Optional Demographic Survey- More detailed information about your academic or professional goals and history

*You will have the option in the survey to designate if your biographic information can be made visible to the public facing website, to BiBA members only, or only to the membership and records committee. If BiBA ever intends to apply survey information to other avenues outside of the website or organization archives (e.g., presentations, outreach), express consent will be sought from all members before doing so. 

Upon completion of the survey, the membership and records committee will review your responses and notify you of your application status via email within 4 weeks.

Please note that at this time, membership in the Black in BioAnth Collective is geared towards biological anthropology scholars, professionals and enthusiasts at the undergraduate level and above.
